Another source for Victory ship kits - website address?
Posted by mfsob on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 2:25 PM

I was trolling around the internet one night and stumbled across a website that sold 1/700 Victory ship kits. Always on the lookout for alternate sources for my favorte VC2-S WW II ship, I bookmarked the site ... or thought I had. Old age, ummm, well, not gonna go there.

Of course, now I can't find it. Althought it was months and months ago, I vaguely remember that it was a foreign language site, perhaps German? Any leads would be greatly appreciated, as I'm not that familiar with most of the European firm's offerings.

I'm not a big ship guy but in Maine we've got Bluejacket Ship Crafters. Not sure if you're familiar with them but they do produce a Victory ship: http://www.bluejacketinc.com/kits/victoryship.htm

Happy New Year Monty - were you thinking of HP-Models out of Germany?  http://hp-models.com/

HP Models are all resin.  Generally no PE is provided.   Instructions are minimal.   The ship structures are well cast,  but there is an amount of effort to extract small details from the wafer they are cast on.

Hey Monte

Harald at HP Models has posted on his website that due to age & health reasons he will be selling the company.  Might be time to check on the site and make some advance purchases.

Of course, if you were to buy the company yourself ...
