There's a great source site for shipping container artwork linked below. It consists of printable paper models, but most of the artwork is first-class and suitable for decal-making as well.

It's a bit tedious to navigate, but well worth it:

Enjoy.

 Don Stauffer:

There is a site that shows the logo of every major container shipper.  Don't have the link anymore, but google on logos trimodal container or something like that.

If it's the site I know, there are problems there. The one I have bookmarked used Fotopic to store its images. The demise of Fotopic, last year, has rendered them unavailable.

This the site I have bookmarked... http://www.fotoreisverhaal.net/containers/summary.html#L40

Nope- that is not the site.  I will see if I can find it but the logos were all jpeg.

Thanks,DON . I will definitely have my hands full with this one .I keep looking at it with a strange idea .I could also acquire another one and produce a tanker . Wouldn,t be hard and actually might turn out pretty decent . On the containers , I built a box ship for a client some years back and it worked out to 1/650 scale ! Weird , but that,s what he wanted . I still have about twenty of the little versions of the forty foot box . They actually looked decent in the dry fit ! I will keep you posted when I start the build . I have about 12 NAVAL subjects that need finishing first .They seem to  come and stick to my shelves quicker than I can put them together !! Do you have that problem ? well , actually I guess we all do at some time .         tankerbuilder

That is a nice kit- goes together very nicely.  Only gripe I had was in containers, so I did slice some rows up.  Not too bad a job but unless you are better with razor saw than I was, you may need a little putty at the corners. I cut some only on one side- one or two from top row.  Other rows I took a couple off each end.  Cut the top row from the side panel and used that for the narrower top row.

I also made lots of new container decals.  There is a site that shows the logo of every major container shipper.  Don't have the link anymore, but google on logos trimodal container or something like that.

I've seen that box in the LHS........so unusual compared to my aircraft kit builds  I may just pick up one...............sure wish my local Hobby Lobby stocked Revell Germany kits.........

Let us know if you successfully separate and display individual containers.

Might be interesting if one could be shown stuffed with boxes of Tamiya paint.............. Whistling
