Have started build a couple of several U-Boats. Love to hear anyone's helpful thoughts. Thanks.
Welcome!
There is a recent thread about weathering submarines that generated a little discussion about how much is too much. You should find it interesting. What scale and which boats have you started?

Hi!
I'm a sub vet and am willing to answer any questions you may come up with. Just send me a message! Also there is a user on here named sub fixer, who does just that. He is also very helpful when it comes to sub questions.
Contrary to the belief of many, a noob/n00b and a newbie/newb are not the same thing. Newbs are those who are new to some task* and are very beginner at it, possibly a little overconfident about it, but they are willing to learn and fix their errors to move out of that stage. n00bs, on the other hand, know little and have no will to learn any more. They expect people to do the work for them and then expect to get praised about it, and make up a unique species of their own.
Im hoping your a newb not a noob.
As for subs, i got no clue, i dont do underwatery stuff. Closest i got to a floaty thing was a seaplane.

Check out my blog here.
Nothing wrong with seaplanes, my friend. Speaking of which, I think I am going to try to convince my wife to buy me that painting of your father's for my birthday.
lol dad will be pleased.

Thanks I'll search for that. I have built a 1/144 size U-505 I bought at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. I have a photo at Flickr.com . Feel free to critique!
I am currently building a 1/350 size Type IX and a 1/125 U-581 Type VII (which is a motorized kits but I'm modifying to not be). Beyond that I have about 15 other kits of varying scales that I've purchased over the years waiting for me to build.
When I was a kid I built the USS George Washington and the U-99.
Over the last year or 2 I've been slowly working on the Revell 1/72 Gato building her as the USS Bream, the boat seen in the opening of Run Silent, Run Deep.
Also in my stash I have the Revell 1/72 Type VII U-Boot and Tamiya 1/350 IJN I-400.
