GMM is a bit simpler,  but still looks better than railroad chain

Or perhaps read up on David Griffith's technique of four strand plaiting.    Brass wire CAN look like anchor chain

ANCHOR CHAIN / Oh that stuff that the funny looking heavy think is attached to . Hmm,let,s see,I went to the second jewelry show this year inour town and scored some more by the foot.

If you can go to one (they are usually open to the public too) You can find chain (real chain from about 1/700 scale all the way to almost 1/24 scale .

Loose Cannon Productions' 1/700 PE frets have the same kind of thing, individual anchor chain links, divided down the middle, that you are supposed to glue together and assemble into "chains."

If I want that kind of aggravation, all I have to do is pick up the phone and call the ex ...

Is this chain that you are referring to like real anchor chain with the link stiffeners in the links or is it just little round/oval chain with no stiffener bars?
