Roman,

I think it looks great!  However, I can't get a clear view of the flag . . . does it have the swastika?

Your U boat came out very nice. The weathering looks very realistic.Yes  A while back I built the 1/144 VII/C with the Griffon Super detail set. The Griffon PE details are just mind blowing. If only Griffon would come out with a Super Detail set for the Atlantic Version.

thx guys...

@warshipguy - my all model who need to have swastika have swastika :)

I always thinking why is swastika forbidden, usually in model kits decal sheet you dont get it.

But why then Faschio from Italian WW2 is on decal sheet, also Japanese flage... they booth was faschist too?

We just show history... than in this case if swastika is forbidenn by manufacturer... ok... then on History chanell must blure all swastikas on history movies?

Cheers

Lovley looking build, you have done a great job on this.

The swastika symbol is illegal In Germany. For a few years many companies stopped putting it in any kit bound for Europe. But not some have introduced it, i guess they must screen those destined for Germany. But as revell is a German company, none of their kits have it.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

What alot of people don't know about the Type VIIC series of U-Boats is that during the whole production run there were 4 different Conning tower configurations starting with the C/1 tower and ending with the C/4 variant. The C/1 had a single 20mm AA gun while the C/2 had 2 20mm AA guns the C/3 had positions for 2 20mm AA guns and a single 37mm AA gun. The C/4 on the other hand did away with the 20mm AA guns all together and instead went with 3 37mm AA mounts with 2 aft of the tower in tandem positions and a single mount foreward of the tower. The Conning tower on this Type VII C/41 is the type C/3 conning tower variant.

Mike,

Great information on the types of sail!  As for the swastika,  For years, model companies used so-called Nazi naval flags that had either a Balkankreuz or the Iron Cross instead of the swastika.  Revell was one of those companies due to German law.  Anyway, I love your build!
