I think most of the rust would be where the net is pulled into the boat and most likely the net handling gear. PRobably due to the net and ropes wearing the paint off and continuously exposing them to salt water . Another place tht gets rusty in all ships in of course the anchor. Russian trawlers do get pretty rusty all over the hull though!!
A quick Google search (using images) produces a lot of rust buckets.
Several different type vessels in different color schemes.
Unless exposed to the air you shouldn't get any rust streaks on the hull under the water.
I am building a Russian trawler. Where would most rust form on the ship if badly neglected? Does rust ever form below the waterline.
Thanks!
