Which one is a better kit? The academy premium edition and the Academy centenary edition look pretty good what are the main differences between the premium and the centenary edition? How is the Minicraft kit because I heard that this kit has been re-tooled. Thank you.

Not speaking about these kits specifically, I just know that as far as the photoetch goes, you have a LOT more choices in 1/350 scale than you do in 1/400, if those kinds of details are one of your prime considerations.

I have the Academy anniversary kit and it comes with extensive PE and the wooden decks... A nice kit for a reasonable price considering the add ons...  I don't think the Minicraft kit comes with as much PE or the wooden deck.  There are many add on PE accessories available for this scale as noted before.

My understanding is that the Minicraft kit is a more accurate representation of the actual ship... Window placement, plate detail, and deck alignment all seem to have better treatment in the Minicraft version.  I'm not a Titanic nut by any means and I'm very satisfied with the Academy kit - at least in terms of the comprehensive fittings and the quality of the retooled kit.
