since my MAS finally came together at the last minute i decided to buy this one and have started it for completion by end of august. my friend will build me another case and i assume a crew will be forthcoming. the build will fit between all my contest and special project builds and i will use a lot of lessons learned from MAS. am working on the hull but skipping around getting lots of little things done. had an annoying stern seam to fix w/o putty. torpedoes are ready to prime. i won't put the shafts and screws on until i am ready to paint the hull and bolt it to the base. i will be using 3 slightly different shades of gray for some contrast. i may throw a 20mm on the bow though i don't think other countries "jazzed up" their boats like us pt boat skippers did. ez-line for rigging and i will order a british cloth flags (plus an italian one for MAS).

As always Wayne I will follow the link. My MAS is in the typical AMS where I need to make the wheelhouse walls vertical. Why?

Advanced modeler syndrome.

AKA not knowing when to leave well enough alone.

i am working on that not obsessing about the precise color to the point of not building. when cleaning up seams knowing which ones, like the bottom of the torpedos, won't be seen close up so cleaning them up but not getting them as precise as the ones on top.
