type XXI u boats handrails

Hi, thanks for your reply, ive recently read a report by the allies on a type IX-C incorprating comments about type XXI, where it briefly mentions retractable handrails, twist and turn, & drop type but was unclear as to which submarines where fitted with them.

I think they were simply removed when the boat put to sea.
