Full hull means either the Trumpeter or Revell kits. Since the Revell kit is 1/720, and the quality is dubious at best, the Trumpeter kit is the way to go.  If you like Tamiya, try using both kits, grafting the Trumpeter lower hull onto the Tamiya kit.

If you don't want a waterline model, the Tamiya kit is out, because that's what it is.

1:700 Prinz Eugen Which one?
Posted by DaveInBracknell on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 3:12 PM

Hi All,

I am currently building the dragon 1:700 Bismarck with PE/Wooden deck kits.

I am wondering which 1:700 plastic model Prinz Eugen is best? I don't want waterline model (Diaroma building is beyond me right now) so it needs to have a hull.

I see that trumpeter and tamiya both do prinz eugen's, so I would like one to match with my Bismarck.

Thanks in advance

Dave
