I think it might of been in one of the 2009 issues I'm not real sure.

Bish

Thnaks Mikeym, i knew i recalled seeing a big carrier. Guess i just assumed the Big E as its so well known. Do you know what issue it was in?

Nope wasn't Enterprise Bish it was a Escort carrier in 1/72 scale.

Bish

Some people are just mad.

Wasn't there an article in the mag a few years ago with a 72nd Carrier, i am sure it was the Enterprise.

If you mean the 72nd VIIc, it was re released last year, with a set of Revell figures.

Now that GATO is big. I can't recall who it was, but just after i got the 72nd U-Boat, someone posted pics of a completed GATO next to a VIIc. If i hadn't had my kit next to me, i would have thought it was tiny. The GATO dwarfed it.

But, it is the only Type VII that shows the forward-slanting edge to the aft end of the sail. That was a characteristic of some Type VII-B's, but not all. It is correct for U-99.

Thanks. This kit is lacking in detail,so I figured I'd go ballistic and get in some serious practice on weathering.
