Hey Gunner.. you might find someone interested in the hulk who was probably going to replace the guns and planes anyway! :)

Hi Tracy,

Thanks for the link to l'Arsenal.  Those dual 5" 38s look better than the kit ones.  The bad thing is my Alabama kit was picked up for less than $50.  I hate the Banner 1/350 Kingfishers.  So, between needing the 5 inch cannons, Kingfishers, and then tossing in the 40mm gun tubs it just might be cheaper to part out the Alabama.  I hang around steelnavy.com & hope Dragon's Pennsylvania will come by the end-of-2012

Mike Ashley cannibalized some 5" 38 dual gun turrets from an Missouri kit.  I've got a 1/350 Alabama purchased from hobby lobby on clearance.  I really don't know about wrecking a perfectly great Alabama kit to upgrade a 'Zona to a Pennsylvania.

You can buy aftermarket mounts to avoid cannibalization. L'Arsenal makes good ones, for example:

Ive got the HobbyBoss 1/350 BB39 about 40% completed...I was thinking about converting it to a Late war BB38.....or a WIF.....I have a set of North Carolina resin turrets and the KIT 5/38's that I didnt use for the Trump BB55...wonder how those would look on the Pennsylvania class hull.

@Bigb123,

Thanks.  However, I save every FSM magazine and just had to spend a half hour digging through my archives of articles after finding the box in my basement.

I will just hope that Dragon will issue their Pennsylvania this year.

Good Morning,

Do anybody happen to know what issues of FSM were done with the conversion of the 1/350 Arizona to the USS Pennsylvania?

I can't seem to find the back issues.
