PT Boat Crew

Unfortunately this kit has all of the figures bare headed. I thought I would get the 1/48 scale combat team and use some of the heads from those figures. Did that sound weird or what....while the naval figures will work for the crew...I will have to figure out the officers...and life vest would be anouther issue. You are right about the lack of 1/48 scale figures. I have had the same problem with my 1/96 scale ironclads. Thanks for your comments.

They'd only have helmets while at "battle stations" (for real or for drill).

The rest of the time, they'd be in "dixie cups" and the Chiefs would have visored caps (more typically with the khaki cover on with dungarees, unlike the box art).  The officers would be in khaki (probably) and with either visored covers, or, more typically, aviator ball caps (which have a very long bill in WWII).

Officers might have drawn a set of Utilities, but wearing them would be another matter.

1/48 probably as complicated as 1/24 for finding figures (not that 1/32 is a huge oasis).

Yeap...I found these and ordered them. They do not have any caps on. I am going to see if I can modify them to put some helmets on them. Thanks
