Kyoto Express

This was more work than I expected it to be.  I cut down the container stacks by at least a third, a "Great Recession" load.  I raided the decal spares box for non-descript container markings.  Tom's 1/700 railings, but they are nearly invisible.

Looks great. I built the Colombo Express. In that kit the only container decals were Hapag-lloyd.  I had to create my own logos for other containers.  Does the Kyoto include other logos? If you made the decals, they sure turned out nice.  Whole ship is nice.

Thanks Don,

That is the Colombo Express kit.  Kyoto Express is one of the options.  I remember the thread of your build.  I considered creating logos for NYK and OOCL containers, but at 1/700, I decided it wasn't worth the effort.  The decals you see, other than the Hapag-Lloyd ones, are little bits and pieces of airplane decals from the spares box.  Most are illegible at this scale anyway, so could represent any nondescript leased container.

The container stacks took forever to do, cutting each down.
