That's weird; I'm getting the same thing, but when I surf there the address is exactly the same.

Maybe the site owner's blocking links....

Let's try this, here's the link again, if that doesn't work go to Board index » ModelWarships.com general forum » Picture Post » Completed Models and look/search for "WIP: Gallery 1/350 USS Iwo Jima LHD-7" or just "Gallery 1/350 USS Iwo Jima LHD-7" if they remove the WIP.

Howdy Mr. White! I clicked on the link to Model Warships, and the forum returned the message, "The requested topic does not exist."

Martin Quinn did a build log over on Model Warships:

I would also suggest hitting the Navy image galleries and searching for "Iwo Jima" or "LHD." You'll get some extra stuff that doesn't pertain (sometimes when ships sail with Iwo Jima and they mention that, it will pick that photo up even though the photo is not of Iwo Jima). I saved about 120 photos of that ship alone and over 700 for the LHDs in total... took me a few nights! Stick out tongue

The one risk you run, ask me how I know, is that you will get better as you go, and you will find yourself wishing you had done better work. On the other hand, these things have a way of disappearing and then resurfacing on eBay at really high prices. Go ahead and buy it, but take your time getting into it.

Here is a link to a review of this kit. it is released in different countries under different labels: Revell, Gallery, Trumpeter, but they are all the same kit.

Just a suggestion, but if you are new to models altogether or new to large ships, you may want to try something smaller and less complex first off such as a destroyer or similar sized ship kit. Then work your way up to this big beauty of a ship...
