Please don't be discouraged with ship modelling simply because you built one kit that had warped pieces; even aircraft kits sometimes have that problem. Warps can be easily dealt with using hot water and a little patience.  If you wanted to build the Tamiya USS Enterprise, build it. You will probably not have the same problems.

I'm assuming that's the Dragon 1/700th kit?  That has to be my all-time "almost buys" of all times.  For some reason every time I get ready to pull the trigger on it I back down...

Looks great for a first ship build.

Maybe after a chance to relax and build some simpler models, you'll tackle another ship some day.  Just be prepared for a long build, and have a shelf for work-in-progress models where you can store major projects while you take a break.

Had this kit bought for me, though I normally do aircraft I gave it a bash,,, fir a time I gave up on it as the hull sections were so warped it was a nightmare, so most likely my first and last ship build,,,, really put me off and I was so looking forward to one day building Tamiyas Enterprise :)

Thanks

Adrian
