It is indeed sad.  However, he certainly did live to a reasonable age, as did several other greats of the model shipbuilding community.  I get the feeling that model shipbuilding leads to long life, at least for some of the group.

I read on Model Ship World the passing of Harold M. Hahn (1922-1912).  He was 92 years old. He contributed so much to the ship modeling community. We are grateful to his research and drafting skills. He will be missed by all who enjoy his modeling ability. Our condolences to his wife and family.
