I have yet to start my first rigged ship, but I am getting close.  Thanks much for the technique.

cerberusjf/surfsup/Buckeye/subfixer/Tom Cervo/fox/docidle-Thanks for the kind words.  They are appreciated.

Tom Cervo-I do not think I tied any knots with the rigging.  I used the “loop” shown in the photo below (like when you tie your tennis shoe) for every connection made.  Once the loop was the proper diameter (or tied around a piece of plastic), a small amount of superglue was applied where the two strands overlapped.  The excess thread was cut away with a sharp X-acto knife blade.  Thinned dullcote was brushed over the area to give it a flat finish.  Using superglue to locate the thread instead of knots was much easier.

Beautiful model.  I am new to sailing ship modeling (haven't built one yet) and I am wondering what sort of knot do you use to tie your rigging.  It must be some sort of cinch knot to tighten the rigging properly.  Please share.
