hello, yes i hav built an icm model, acutally i built a few of them.the scale i had was of 1/350.it had alot of detail and a majority of the pieces fit well.if you;re building the yamato, i would look at a few of the japanese companies.i built a 1/400 scale yamato made by a japanese manufacturer, and it was loaded with detail.i do recomend icm but you were saying around 50 dollars, for a 1/700 scale i think that is pricey.the 1/350 scale yamato i built was like 69 dollars.but its all up to you.
