I just noticed on Floating Drydock, in their "NEW" section, they state that they will have new sets of plans for USS SAN DIEGO CL(AA) 53 and USS SAN JUAN CL(AA)54 dated 1942 era. And plans for the USS OAKLAND CL(AA)95, RENO CL(AA)96, FLINT CL(AA)97, and TUCSON CL(AA)98 that are dated 1944/45. These will be in their "Bu Series" plans, and will be in addition to the Atlanta plans they already have. These plans are usually 1/96 or 1/192. You can get someone to rescale them, or make your measurements and recalculate your new dimensions. There is a good scale model calculator at Scalecalc.com that will convert any scale to any other scale. Easy to use, too! I need to bookmark their "Bu Series" plans so I can get the Tucson when it comes out! Now if they would get the Phoenix of the Brooklyn Class..... I looked at their Bu page and they already show plans for San Diego and Oakland (a LOT of Oakland plans). The Oakland plans all say "Oakland cl" I hope this doesn't mean they are not going to have seperate plans for the Reno, Flint, and Tucson showing what differences there were. Or might it mean that the differences are already shown on each set of plans? Does anyone know if this is what the company means by "cl" after the ship name? And no, I do not believe it is the Light Cruiser designation, which is given before the name or capitalized with the ship's number, but rather that it stands for Class. There are a dozen plans for the San Diego, and 67 for the Oakland!
