NEW SHIPS IN STASH and KUTZNETSOV INSTRUCTIONS NEEDED
Posted by waynec on Saturday, November 24, 2012 5:04 PM
as if i don't need more got the PLAN carrier at a good price. since she is basically the KUTZNETSOV i wll build her as VARYAG. i hope someone here has her and can scan in the instructions and color scheme and PM me. i have both VARYAG cruisers in the stash already. found a revell KEARSARGE slightly built (decks were painted and will nave to be redone, no big deal for $30. i know she is not accurate and basically an ALABAMA or visa versa and a guy in my ship club built a 6 footer but i always wanted one from my teen years. ALABAMA and AMERICA got me through high school with mmy dad's illness and death in the late '60s. and i have hundreds of years of rigging experiience in my ship club.

hi ripcord

long wait on the build i'm afraid. for NATs i am looking at revel AMERICA and trumpeter CHINESE TREASURE SHIP. also have a PEDRO NUNES i built as a teenager.

my wood ship club is HTTP://WWW.ROCKYMOUNTAINSHIPWRIGHTS.COM we have 20+ serious ship modelers all of whom are in their 70s and up. (i'm 60). figure 30 years each and there is 600 years of wood kit and scratchbuilding experience. interesting though i am the king of styrene in the club as only 4 of us build plastic.

not in the pic. they are the old guys

they are pics from our monthly workshop. wait until you see a good size clipper ship or ship of the line before thinking there are too many lines. my nmodels aren't there but i have  a 1/35 italian MAIALE and a MAS TORPEDO BOAT posted in the ship forums. they tend to take a first or second at local contests but are now retired.
