So I've just started building my Revell 1:72nd scale Schnellboot. It's a nice kit so far, except for one glaring problem.
When it comes time to insert the rudders and propellor shafts, the instructions show them being inserted into alignment holes. On my kit, only the center rudder had an alignment hole. All of the others were missing, and I spent a long time cutting off the alignment pins for the outboard propellor shafts and rudders. Gluing them was an even bigger pain in the ass.
First time out, they were mis-aligned. The glue hadn't set, so I removed them and tried again. Second time, the alignment was perfect, but the propellor shafts were a full half inch too far aft, making it impossible to install the rudders. Third time, I finally got it right. Now, I just have to tediously clean up all of the superglue stains.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm also doing a Heller HMS Victory, which also has problems with missing alignment holes...
