Tom's Modelworks new cage mast for early USN
Posted by sumter III on Monday, January 28, 2013 2:49 PM

Richard at Toms modelworks posted this on a forum about a new cage mast he has been working on.

"This will have the true rotary hyperboloid (hourglass) shape. It will be a bit more involved than simply rolling a cone shape but very do-able. Scaling up to 1/350 is not an issue, of course but I wonder about the demand."

So hear is the deal cage mast fans, spread the word around, let him know you want one and lets get going.

Thanks

I want two in 1/350! Might as well ask for three as I'd no doubt botch up at least one.

Cool! Thanks Sumter!

I need 1 in 1/232nd scale for my U.S.S. Oregon. Some in other scales would be nice to. Awww heck...  Just make a bunch and I will "throw"cash at you!

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

I think that product in 1:350 will do well!  I can think of a couple battleships I'd build.

HI :

Did someone say " cage masts " ? I want to say this .I want at least three in 1/200 and probably four in the smaller scales for the old REVELL kit . Say two in 1/350 and two in 1/232 ?   Tanker - builder
