Whale boats on Hornet CV-8 - Strapped down ?
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, February 16, 2004 6:44 PM
I'm mid way through my Trumpeter CV-8 at the moment and I'm about to attach the whale boats but I don't like how they just glue straight onto the deck. How where they attached to the deck ? Where they strapped or staddled in brackets? Does anyone know of any links to picture to help me.

Thanks,

Adam.

I'd sure like to know, too - I'm at the same exact point.

They would have been strapped to the cradle by 2 straps (the Navy still does this).
