Chris, you can look at Free Time Hobbies.  They handle a lot of ship and naval models, although most stuff is in 1/350 or 1/700 scale, pretty typical for ships.  They have a section in their "naval store" for landing ships.

I did a search on Hannants and found a few LCM's but no LCA's, and a goggle search didn't find anything either.

Is Armageddon pretty well the only kit option for an Landing Craft assault used by the Brits (commonwealth) on d-day landings

i found a 1/72 option, but not much availability.
