would like to see a 1/72 of this. can also mount SSN-3 or SSN-12 SSMs on them.

Anigrad do a 1/144 scale kit in resin it's supposed to be massive.

I found an image on googleearth of one. looking for it now.

Same principle my favorite birds (pelicans) use- ground effect.

 Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

I think it's an astonishing machine, I really love machines and this seems to be one of a kind. I wish they had these when I was in the Navy lol. I have to say It's quite a fearsome looking machine even though it was a transporter.

Someone released a version of this  thing several years ago - gave some serious thought about buying it but didn't (drat!) - Could be wrong but I want to say it was Revell of Germany.

Yeah Revell made a 1/72 scale version but it was not of the massive Caspian Sea Monster I forget the actual name, but having said that there is a new release coming soon from Zvezda in 1/144 scale, and I think even at that it is still huge, I am not sure which version, but it could possibly be the one with all the missiles for troop support.
