Amen!  I read about this in the company's e-mail newsletter.  I've always been impressed with Bluejacket's products and service.  (I'm a particular fan of Bluejacket britannia metal blocks and deadeyes, which in my opinion are the most scale-looking on the market.)  I do hope a good buyer shows up - one who understands scale modeling and knows how to run a business at a profit.  (No profit, no Bluejacket.)

The one thing I can say with assurance is that the buyer won't be me.  I can't afford it, I have no business sense whatever, and those Maine winters....Besides, I've reached the "step back, smell the roses, and build models" point myself. But good luck to the new proprietor.

Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.

  Hello :

Are you aware that the company may be for sale ? I hope the present owners make sure the buyer is , number one a model fan and two ,  that he or she or them will keep to the high standards the company has continued with for so many years and that they stay as customer oriented as the present owners  did when they bought it some years back (over twenty , I believe ). I hope for the best for the transition and retirement of the present owners .

As you will read , they like me are in that stage where we need to step back ,transfer power and smell the roses . Now I hope that the NEW proprieters will continue to grace us with the fine models they are known for . We can only hope the owners will find that ideal purchaser that will carry on the fine reputation and standards now in place .GOOD LUCK on retirement to the present owners ,  and GOOD LUCk to the new owners when such are found .           Tanker-Builder
