Thanks, I will see if removing the top deck makes it easier to fit!

Sounds like an "up and down" problem of alignment, not "side-to-side", correct? Since all the carriages are part of the deck, the side-to-side should be ok.

I think you need to detach the top deck, get the bottom deck to fit right and then reattach the top somehow holding them together so that they are bent, as you say.

For all things Victory, check out the Pete Coleman website, and don't be put off by the test question to join. It's an easy one.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Trouble building HMS Victory's Hull (Revell)

Hi all, hopefully this is the correct section to post this.

I'm currently in the process of building Revell's 1:225 model of the HMS Victory, sorry I don't have any pictures handy right now, but I was dry fitting the hull (it's in 2 halves) to the gun deck (with top deck attached as per part 1 of the instructions. The cannons of the gun deck are supposed to all point out through the appropriate ports in the hull but they don't all line up, I can get either the front half or so or back half through the holes and then the rest no longer line up with the ports. It's almost as if the entire deck needs to be bent to allow all the cannons to fit.

Hopefully I made myself clear, if anyone has assembled this model before and can help that'd be greatly appreciated!
