20 or 40mm gun kits or plans- any out there?

Looking to build a diorama of a WW2 carrier deck and would like to add a couple of 20mm and 40mm gun platforms, any idea on where to get kits or plans for scratch building?

I know that Loyalhanna Dockyard and The Floating Drydock carry the HR Products line of guns.  HR Products are white metal castings and need some work to look presentable.  They list the following guns:

20mm Oerlikon on a tripod mount

20mm Oerlikon single on MK4 mount

20mm Oerlikon twin  MK20

40mm Bofors single mount

40mm Bofors twin mount

40mm Bofors quad mount

HR Products sells the weapons, but I've heard that quality can be rough. There are general diagrams on the Historic Naval Ships Association website in their copy of the "Gun Mount and Turret Catalog." I've heard about a 1/48 kit, but can't remember if it's out, merely promised, or by who in either case.

I did a google search for guns for a Corvette awhile ago.  Do not remember the sites I found, and did not bookmark them, but an "image" search did find a LOT of naval gun drawings.   I know I did find 20 mm Oerlikons.

Don't worry about scale- in this day and age it is so easy to rescale drawings on computer.

I would strongly recommend that you mock up your dio first accurately at scale. A 40 mm gun takes up a considerable area, as would a quad mount.

You'd be adding a square foot or so of plan area and  6" min height to the whole construction, plus the complication of all of the other stuff in between the gun and the deck.

A worthwhile project for sure and that will probably influence the gun(s) you choose.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
