                        I'm working on a 1/144 scale RC Escort Carrier project, and I'm looking for some twin 40mm mounts.

                        I know that WEM makes them, but they're expensive, and I'd need eight of them. Because this is a stand-off scale RC project, I don't really need that level of quality, nor do I want to spend that kind of money......

                        I'm posting here because I'm hoping there may be some builders out there of the Revell 1/144 Fletcher who are going to use the WEM mount as an upgrade over the kit's parts, and therefore may have the original mount leftover.....

                        have you thought of making your own? have to make a pile of quad 40mm mounts in 1/426 scale for a bunch of arizona conversions but have the drawings for them & a 1/72 scale single 40mm gun from wem to use as a template.

                        Surprised you have not considered HR Products's line of fittings. Some of the castings are rough and require cleanup, some not so much, but these would seem to fit your prerequisites for stand-off scale. And...they are inexpensive. I have used them before as well in an attempt to doll up the exalted Lindberg Blue Devil abomination model kit... but I digress. Indifferent Give them a shot:
