Which suggests that it is a 1:75 scale kit.

Gee I dunno. There's a number of them on eBay with pictures of the kit contents. Short of calling it one of Tilley's HECEPOB kits since it's not HE, it looks like a POB with the bulkheads really just formers without gluing surfaces.

With the rather annoying fillip of quite a few model manufacturers simply inventing names for ships.

Rather the equivalent of taking a kit of a 1/70 Macchi C.202 and calling it a 1/60 BF-10, as well as a 1/72 Hawker Hurricane  Or, perhaps a 1/32 M-5 half-track and boxing it as a Hanomag-built SdKfx 250.

I would not have the first clue how to search the French records to see if they ever commissioned a two-decker, 74 under l'nomme "Adme. Vernon."   The wiki article on the ships launched under Louis XIV contains many 66 to 74 2nd rates, none named Vernon.  

Of course the google search is filled with references to British Admiral Vernon, who had a famous naval exploit not quite 50 years' after the alleged launch date, 1695, per the kit.

What the box top shows is a rather generic spritsail topmast two-decker, which has a "French" sort of sail plan and poop.
