An interesting new release announcement from Trumpeter:  the monitor H.M.S. Roberts, on 1/350 scale:

Tres cool.  Monitors have such a unique and "mean" look.

I've always thought that they made an excellent subject for those modelers who are at the "I built  a Destroyer, and a cruiser--what next?" stage.

A curious model for sure.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Quite the battle history: Operations Torch, Husky, Avalanche, and Overlord. Definitely not your everyday ship kit. Well done Trumpeter for going off the beaten path!

Neat!  I am sure going to be looking for one of those, assuming it is not horribly expensive.

It's bound to be cheaper than the 1/350 resin offerings.I think.

It is roughly in between a cruiser and destroyer in size, so I can not imagine it being that expensive. Probably in line pricewise with their other smaller cruiser kits such as USS San Francisco, but of course that is just a guesstimate on my part.
