Watchin the tube and came across a show on the Trieste bathyscaph. Set me to thinking, wonder if anyone makes a plastic kit of this history making vessel?

The only remotely similar kit I've ever heard of is this one:  www.squadron.com/.../he54001.htm .  And the similarity is mighty remote.

Maybe there's a resin one out there.

I think that there was a resin set by a company called Viking several years back.  They also made some Brown Water Navy kits as well.

Since it is not a warship don't hold your breath.  The market for non-naval subjects just doesn't seem to be there, and few mfgs will take a flyer on a civil or government non-naval subject.  I certainly would like to see more non-navy ships but those of us who feel that way are a small minority.  Most of my shipbuilding friends believe non-naval subjects are just boring, and the mfgs listen to the majority.
