If I remember the Gato hull comes in 6 pieces

And the GATO was bigger than the VII. Was that kits hull in 4 bits as well, like the IX.

. With the Type VII the hull was well secured in the box.

Seems to be a popular kit, I think that's at least 3 forum members that have. The packaging doesn't sound good. With the Type VII the hull was well secured in the box.

Just received my first. Very exciting but packaging leaves a lot to be desired. Fortunately nothing seems broken. The four hull sections not boxed in as done on previous releases of the Uboat. All other parts bags left to their own fate in bottom of box. Not all parcels handled like eggs.
