AIRFIX?

It was originally released by Matchbox and the molds were obtained by Revell when Matchbox closed its doors.

I have the original AIRFIX kit.  It was marketed as a "Flower Class Corvette" and came with parts and markings for 4 different vessels.

There are no hobby stores left in Miami.

I've seen a number of the older "just plain old" kits on dealers shelves. In fact, I have seen none of the fancy new deluxe version on shelves. I suspect with most hobby shops it is strictly special order.  So they are around and a tour of LHSes in your area may turn up one.

I wonder if Revell offers just the plain Snowberry without all of the other stuff. Really not needed for RC work.

Try asking on Britmodeller, there are a couple of the specials being built in the maritime section!

On the bench-1/350 Zvezda Varyag, Trumpeter Slava class Varyag and Tamiya CVN65 Enterprise. 1/400 Academy Titanic and 1/96 DeAgostini Victory.
