i built my first ship model when i was still 9 yrs old, i couldn't even remember what ship it was. now i'm back into modeling, i wanna try building an aircraft carrier.

what is a decent kit for a beginner like me?

An aircraft carrier is pretty ambious for the first ship since you were a kid. But if you have your heart set on a carrier, I would recommend one of the Revell carrier kits, or a Tamiya or Hasewaga 1/700 waterline kit. Lower cost, a 1/350 carrier usually goes for $100 (or more) here in the states, I don't know about the Philippines.
A great first ship over all would be a Tamiya 1/350 Fletcher class destroyer.
