Judging from the last pic, it looks like someone ate the Captain's doughnuts again.

Excellent work on the boat!

Thanks for the comments. I do not know what happened to the other Pics. Might have accidently deleted a PB Album.

Steve, thanks for that info, i will keep a look out for those, but if they are OOP, i can't imagine that's the sort of thing that will pop up on e-bay to often. Its a shame G-factor have not done a set, i have there's for the Type VII and they look really nice.

Mark,

She is looking great.  I am worried about the torpedo racks though, 26 parts each? Wow.

Bish,

Classic Warship use to make a correctly shaped white metal prop set for this model and was available through Pacific Front Hobbies.  I have not been able to find them come heck or high water in the last year of searching.  G Factor makes a set of props for the 1/35 but not the 1/72.  I have not  even found them on evilBay either.

Some more lovely work here. Looks like there's a lot of work in this, but I am sure the end result will be worth it.

Felix, I haven't been able to find any AM props specifically for this kit.

Felix the Set does not provide replacement Props but almost everything else is there. OK the Torp Racks have now ben done and what a PITA they were. Each one has 26 P/E parts for each Rack. Also detailed 2 Ammo and Storage Bins. Will have more soon.....Cheers Mark

I recall there is an issue with the props not being accurate on this kit. Does Griffon provide replacement props?

Mark,

She is looking great!  I have the /Flak38 version and was thinking of picking up the standard Griffon PE and buy the metal torpedoes separately but when I asked my LHS to order them they said they are no longer available so it's off to evilBay I must go......

Thanks for posting your progress it is inspiring as well as just plain cool.

Thanks Gents. The P/E is superb but some of it is so small I wonder why they did it in the first place.....Cheers Mark

No, I have the 1/350 scale S100 Class Schnellboat by Trumpeter.  The PE set I believe is from White Ensign.  It is sitting in my stash for now.  The hull looks to be just under four inches.

The PE does look nice and adds some great detail. What your view on the quality of this PE set.

Mcbean, did you mean 35th scale.

I have this boat in 1/350 scale along with a P.E. kit.  I should have twice the fun you are having.

Thanks Gents for looking in. P/E in any Scale can be a pain but depends on what Kit you are working on and the quality of the P/E. You pays your money and make your choice.....Cheers mark
