Thank you! I just placed a bid for him. Here's hoping we get it.
Buy that man a beer!
That's a pretty arcane request and a great answer.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
I just saw the plans on E-bay. Still has 4 days on it as of this posting.

No building instructions, but they tend to be rather terse for these type models w/ the assumption that you have prior experience in building at this level, so they may not be all that helpful anyway, but w/ the plans and some ingenuity, he should be able to figure it out.
Also here is a link to a site that I subscribe to that I have found very helpful for the neophyte (meaning me).

Hi! A friend who is not computer savvy just bought a Marine Model Co. kit #1089, the Charles W. Morgan whaling ship. The instructions that came with it appear to be incomplete (it was in the back of an old general store in Missouri) and I volunteered to see if I could come up with a set for him. He is a master woodworker who can no longer do furniture & wants to try his hand at smaller models.
Anyone have these instructions that they would be willing to copy or scan?
Thanks!!
