Arii 1/800 Nimitz Class CVN question

Hello! I am building the Arii 1/800 USS Eisenhower with my oldest grandson. I noticed what appears to be two AEGIS radar panels on both sides of the island. Researching, I discovered that all of the Arii kits of the Nimitz class have these features. I am unaware that the Nimitz class ever carried these arrays, so I am wondering if anyone knows what these features are supposed to represent. I can find no photos of these CVN's with them.
