Dave,

Yes, I discovered that using the IMG and simply pasting it in the Finescale "Use rich formatting" window I get the result I want. Copying the "direct" URL from Photobucket works well if you don't care about the image opening in a separate tab should you want to enlarge it.

Thanks for the compliment regarding the picture but, honestly, anyone with a camera could have taken as good or better shots that day. It is a lovely hike and that day last spring it was very visually rewarding.

After I figure out how to get the landing gear doors onto my 1/48 Accurate Miniatures Grumman F3F-1 Confused and finish it, I'll start another ship. I'm following your thread on the big Golden Hind since I also have it in my stash.

Mike, for what it's worth, I don't have much luck using the *direct* link...I always use the IMG link from Photobucket to get my pics on here.

Beautiful picture, BTW.

I've done that trail. I have to say I agree about not being a couch potato and I would add not for those afraid of heights. There is a couple parts that are very interesting in that respect.

John,

The image is from one of my many hikes on Dog Mountain on the Washingon side of the Columbia Gorge. I filed a short "review"/trip report on one of the links below.

It's not a hike for the average couch potato since it has some rather steep sections. It can be very rewarding though if one's timing is lucky - lots of wildflowers in the spring.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it's so popular. I have to get up VERY early to be at the trailhead (a rather large parking area - I'd say for well over 50 vehicles) or the parking area is full - usually before 8 am.

That's a beautiful shot, Mike.  Where'd you shoot it?

Help with image posting

I've tried the "Testing" forum and, so far, no one has responded to my quest so I thought I'd ask here.

I use Photobucket as my image hosting site. When I copy the "direct" link to a specific picture on Photobucket and insert it in the window that pops up on Finescale after clicking the little rectangular icon with the plus sign in a small circle in its lower right corner, the image I wanted to link appears in my post just as it should. However, when I click on that image (to view a larger or original size of same), it opens in the same tab. This means that I must hit the back button on my browser to get back to the original page on Finescale. I've noticed that some images hosted on Photobucket from other modelers willl open in a new tab when they're clicked on. How does one do that?
