Zvedza Black Swan 1/72
Posted by Mr2bill4 on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 3:53 PM
New to the forum so bare with me. Started the Black Swan about 4/3/14 and alittle progress has been accomplished. Painted hull, sides, etc. with Testors Wood, then a wash of Testors Acryllic black. A minor problem with the stern corners, but nothing that a little filler can't fix. Assembling the stern section now, almost done and will post pic after that. Thanks for looking and I'll take any pro or cons.

Thanks, Steve. Got a few bugs, but nothing I can't handle. I'm just worried about the paint scheme. I'm trying to make it look old, but not too old. That's the only thing that bothers me right now. Will know better when I get to the really good stuff, masts and rigging.

Well, didn't want you to forget, but yours looked 100% better. Got the stern done, except the filler. Got to download software for my camera, then post.the pics.

Not sure about this, but try it anyways......How in the tofit do you reply to someone like you on here without going to an old thread or whatever? Unless I have to start one! Or go thru messages? I just don't want to have to email you all the time.

Well, if you want to contact someone about something specific to this topic, I would suggest going to this thread and posting a reply after the most recent entry.  That's a very good way to keep sharing info about a subject.  And once a thread has a new reply, it comes back to the top of the main page, so people will know there's new activity there (here!)...  Looking up an old thread is easy, especially if you've participated in it before.  You just go your own profile, and it will show your recent activity, including posts, and messages.  Or you can use the Search The Community bar, and just type in a few keywords.

Or, if you have a general question, or want to talk about something random with a member here, just click on their name, and send a message.  However, I have trouble with the messaging capabilities on this site, because I often like to share pics with my messages, but I can't seem to figure out how to attach pics via Member Messages.  So I usually just resort to regular email when I want to get ahold of someone....I've got personal email info for a few of the guys here, with whom I correspond on a regular basis.

Personally, I don't know if there's any benefit to adding someone as a *friend* on here, since I consider all of these guys my pals.  :)

All the tools you need to keep in touch with people here is on the right-hand side of the screen...just scroll up and down, and explore!!

Hope that helps a bit!

Dave

You can add pics to a PM that same way you do in the forum. You will need to upload it to a site like photbucket first.

I have my build in Photobucket already. Thank you for the tip.
