I will be on board for the USS Texas, most probably the 1/350 after comparing Trump vs Blue Ridge prices on other kits.  I couldn't make it down for her Centennial Celebration in March but I do make a trip to the Texas and San Jacinto Monument with each visit with family in Houston.

Trying to get my hobby stuff sorted - just moved and still unpacking.

I left out three other new 1/700 plastic ones from Blue Ridge:  the USS California and West Virginia (1941 configuration) and the USS Colorado (1944 configuration).

All these are announced on the Freetime Hobbies website.

USS Texas!! I am definitely going to have to get that one! My favorite warship, bar none! Crawled all over her as a kid, last saw her not long after she was restored.

Freetime Hobbies is taking pre-orders for:

Trumpeter - 1/700 HMS Dreadnought; 1/350 USS (drumroll please) Texas and New York

Blue Ridge Models - in styrene - 1/700 USS Texas, New York, and United States (the island-less "super carrier" proposed in the very early fifties - and cancelled).

No prices or release dates; I intend to keep my eye on the Freetime website.

I can hear the Texas fans salivating.  My personal favorite of the batch is the Dreadnought.
