HMS Hood: Length: 861 ft.

Bismarck: Length 823 ft.

HMS Ark Royal: Length 800 ft.

4-plus feet each. Ouch!

I like the idea of 1/200 capital ships far better than I like the idea of finding a space to display them!

Don hit the nail on the head. Unless you are building these for R/C than it seems the entire model industry is upsizing faster than our housing square footage is! 1/16 scale tanks, 1/200 scale battleships, 1/35 scale modern fighters.... Sheesh!

Imagine a witty signature right .....here....

A 1/200 HMS Ark Royal would get my attention!

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Yeah, that second paragraph says it all!  I am going into 1:700 ships because I have run out of display room for the 1:350 ones.

According to Freetime Hobbies, Trumpeter is going to do a 1/200 HMS Hood.

Would go great with the 1/200 Bismarck.  Assuming, of course, that one has a good-sized display room with nothing else in it.

Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.
