My current project is the Revell 1:83 Mayflower kit (1977) as you might know. Prior to deciding on how to paint her, I did as much surfing as I could to find out the various paint patterns that the Mayflower II has had in the last 47 years or so.
As you know the Revell and Trumpeter kits are of the Mayflower replica (Mayflower II as she is called) that now is birthed in Plymoth, Ma. She was built in 1957 in England and then sailed across the atlantic to Plymoth and donated to the pilgram museum yada yada yada....
I posted this to share the photos of the neatest of the paint patterns I found for you others tacling this ship. I know at least one of you are working on the Revell kit and another of you is doing the Trumpeter kit.
Here is the pattern of the ship as it appears on the box covers of the kits and I should note than it is not the pattern in 1957.
