Yeah, I've got the same preorder - though their original delivery date of 'Late March' has obviously been proven wildly optimistic.  I've been looking forward to this model ever since I got back into models; had me a fleet of Revell box-scale Essexes when I was a kid and I've always wanted one (or more) as an adult.

Trumpeter makes a number of them

One downside I noticed was the included "airgroup."  The kit is advertised as a "anti submarine" carrier but does not include any S-2F Trackers (STOOFs) which was the primary carrier based anti sub aircraft of the day.   A C-1A Trader for a ship's COD would have been nice, too...

Quote GMorrison: "Trumpeter makes a number of them"

This one is an SCB-125 ship. ;-)

The modernizations were two programs SCB-27A/C and SCB-125. IIRC

SCB-125 and SCB-125A were the angled deck conversions, 27A and 27C were different upgrades.

Does the CVS-11 kit come with A-4, A-1, F-8, RF-8 and E-1, UH-2 aircraft?

If it does, then they configured it for one of the three Vietnam cruises made by CVS-11 with a "limited CVA" type of Air Wing

yep, I just looked, those are the aircraft types of Carrier Air Wing Ten (AK tail codes)

I forgot the Electronic Skyraiders, though in my posting. Maybe Mark at Starfighter will give decal options for all three cruises? One of them had AH tail codes on the F-8s because they were a Detachment, not a full squadron, named "Omar's Orphans"
