Where to find 1/350 Crew Members?!
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, February 29, 2004 10:35 PM
I have seen 1/350 crew members on some model ships that people have done and I was wondering if anyone knows where to get them? Are they photo-etch? Are there any low budget alternatives?

Just trying to find out.

A company called L'Arsenal makes resin ones. These are actual
figures, whereas the PE ones are flat.

There is 50 in a set for about $15.00 US. Done well too.
You can order them direct or Pacific Front may have
them.

As for the Web Sites and e-mail addresses, I don't have the info
here at work, so I will post it when I get home.

Thanks for the info everybody. I like the look of the resin ones', as they are not flat like photo etch. I've seen resin before but I've never worked with it. What would I use to paint and glue them?

Use CA (Superglue) on resin. Use the same types of paints as with plastic but in addition you can use lacquer-based as it won't dissolve resin as it would plastic.

Gold Medal Models has a 1/350 US Navy crew set in etched brass. For a distributor, type the name in on the internet and see if someone pops up somewhere.
