Hi: I am posting this because I am curious . Has anyone built this little beast yet ? The reason I call it a beast is this .You basically build a box for the superstructure and put it on the hull .Now , after clamping and bracing till I almost went cross eyed , I got it on the hull . This was Before gluing it in place .Well , wouldn't you know .The sides of this box are NOT the same thickness as the hull sides .Problem number one, after the glue set for over the span of a week I attempted to hide that seam by sanding and filling . Enter problem number two . It's almost done in that the seam is almost not noticeable .Problem number three . Now that it is almost smooth the hull top edge is almost tissue paper thin . Oh , I can fix it as I don't have to be as careful on the inside . I have tried every protection known to modelers to save the detail molded on in the bottom window row just above the hull . This brings us to Problem number three . Now I have ,between the windows, a ledge where I sanded . How do I get rid of that ? Another round of a weeks worth of wet sanding ? Be warned , this kit isn't for the neo-phyte or the squeamish modeler .It's simplicity of construction fools you into thinking " this is a slam - dunk !" Beware no goal here ! Anyone want to chime in and help this ancient modeler get this done .I started it as a slump-buster from another project ! Help ? Tanker - Builder
