For the H-60's you are going to want MH-60S (tail wheel all the way aft like a blackhawk) and the MH-60R which has a round radar dish under the cockpit and the tailwheel is located about where the tail boom meets the body (where it starts to get wide).  I have not seen any models of the 60R in any scale yet, but you could convert a 60B pretty easy by ensuring you don't include the MAD pylon (a little wing on the starboard side with a red and yellow "missile" looking thing on it).  I know trumpeter offers both the Bravo and Sierra in 1/350, not sure about 1/720. Both the 60S and 60R will have a nose-mounted FLIR nowadays (just a little grey ball, should be pretty easy to scratchbuild).

At that scale it's all pretty similar anyway (you really have to be up to about 1/72 to start seeing the bigger differences).

I'd switch over to Trumpeter 1/700 scale aircraft since they offer the F-18E and F-18F hornets as well as the F-18C and F-18D hornets. And their EA-6B prowlers are pretty nice looking as well. Then go with the E-2 Hawkeye and whatever SH-60 helo you would think appropriate. BTW the Regan was put into fleet service after the F-14 and A-6E were retired.

Yeah, Seasick they sure did. Its the Italeri kit through and through. Thanks folks for the compliments.

I'll get started on "da boids" (tankerbuilder) pretty soon.Big Smile gonna have a dozen Hornets, a few A-6s, a couple of EA-6Bs, and a couple E2Cs.

On the workbench: Dragon 1/350 scale Ticonderoga class USS BunkerHill 1/720 scale Italeri USS Harry S. Truman 1/72 scale Encore Yak-6

The Italeri/Revell Germany carriers are decent kits but need some work. Gold Medal Models makes a nice 1/720 photo etch set  and decal set for them. Starfighter Decals also makes a nice hangar bay for the Revell 1/720 Enterprise that can be adjusted for the Nimitz class.

The only issue I have with the Reagan and Bush kits is that Italeri does not seem to have changed the molds for the island, which are longer than in earlier Nimitz class ships.

From what we can see in the photos, you did a nice job!

That ship looks like the Italeri 1/720 RR. Did RevG license it?

Looks great. It's interesting that, even on 1/700 scale, the staggering size of that ship comes across.

Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.

Wassup? Here is the R/G Ronald Reagan. Except for weathering the ship is almost done. Now Comes the fun part. Convincing my bifocal wearing eyes to put a decent finish on the air wing lol. The kit is Italeri plastic, and built straight out of the box. Thanks for looking!
