I know this is short notice, but I just discovered that the Turner Classic Movies network is showing "Here Comes the Navy" at 4:45 EST this afternoon.
it dates from 1934, and most of it is an old-fashioned romantic comedy. But much of it was filmed on board the USS Arizona. Other scenes were shot on board the dirigible Macon.
The flick also makes a curious connection between two of the worst tragedies in maritime history. The three points of the love triangle at the center are James Cagney, Pat O'Brien, and Gloria Stuart - who played the old lady in "Titanic."
Worth a look. Better yet, go to tcm.com and vote to get it released on DVD.
Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.
