I just picked up the Hobby Boss 1/350 USS Arizona. After posting the pics from my grandfathers album, and w/ following the current WIP's, I was inspired to go ahead and build her as well, somewhat in tribute to my grandfather. I don't anticipate starting on this any time soon, but I wanted to get ducks in a row, so to speak by getting some advice on PE sets.
First, this will be my first "steel navy" build, and for all intents and purposes, my first in depth experience w/ PE.
I managed to track down a set from Gold Medals which looks to be pretty comprehensive. I do not know if there are any others out there. I couldn't find any from Eduard in that scale. So... some pointers (links) to any and all would be greatly appreciated. I will also need to replace the guns, and I have no idea where to begin w/ that one.
